VR Bennachie Hill Race
This is an old build tour - to be updated.
In 2014, the Bennachie Hill Race celebrated its 25th year. It is firmly established in the hill running race calendar as one of the most popular races in North-East Scotland.
In 2007 the race was praised by the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain’s Top Ten Big Races for runners of all abilities.
In 2014, Women’s Running magazine also named the BHR one of their Top 100 events.
At about 8.2 miles in length and with a total of 1500ft of ascent (13.1k and 500 metres), the Senior race is a great challenge for everyone.
In addition to the main (Senior) Hill Race, we also hold a Junior Hill Race for runners 13–17, which is approximately 5k in length with 150m climb.
